A chartered engineer and building surveyor, Rob has been a management consultant for 25 years, specialising in all aspects of maintenance and repairs provision to social rented housing stock. Recently he has been at the forefront of new developments in procurement and the development of partnership arrangements for the delivery of responsive repairs and voids by both DLOs and private sector contractors. Recent assignments for HQN include: mock BV inspections, ALMO development, the establishment of partnering repair and maintenance arrangements for a diverse client base ranging from below £1m p.a. to over £25m p.a. He regularly undertakes reviews of various aspects of repairs delivery and clienting arrangements. He has successfully developed an innovative benchmarking technique to measure repairs cost-efficiency, avoiding the traditional problems of data incompatibility. Rob also has experience of managing other kinds of large service procurements, including e-procurement, revenues and benefits, and IT. He is an experienced trainer, and regularly speaks and publishes on subjects related to repairs and maintenance of social housing stock. |
