  • Allocations and lettings, the requirements under Part VI of the Housing Act 1996
  • Rent possessions through the County Court.

Our trainer

Mel Cant trained as a barrister and specialises in social housing law. After ten years in the legal profession, she has spent a further ten years working within local government, predominantly in the areas of homelessness, housing advice and allocations and lettings, as both a practitioner and consultant.

Who should attend?

This course is designed to assist officers who work within:

  • Homelessness, including caseworkers and prevention officers
  • Allocations and lettings, including allocations/lettings officers and housing register assessment staff
