The How 2 School from HQN
There’s new ideas coming from the government all the time, but times are tough and budgets are tight. You need to tackle it – but you’re on your own. So how?
The How 2 School from HQN will show you. This is grassroots, practical, hands-on learning that will leave you empowered and confident that you know exactly what you’re doing.
You’ll learn about the latest thinking, understand the relevant guidance and context, debate and discuss ideas and options, and plan how you’ll take it forward.
Our trainers are all experts in the field, and understand the importance of making their expertise accessible. Choose your subject – they’ll take you through:
- Why you need to know about it, and what the relevant current guidance is
- The local angle – why is this important in your neck of the woods?
- The key issues
- How to write a project plan, including key headings for any resulting documentation.
They’ll also challenge, advise and facilitate discussion and provide case studies, tips
and techniques for sorting problem areas.
They’ll encourage innovative ideas and new ways of thinking, and ensure that you end the day by agreeing a practical action plan for effective progress.
Topics could include:
- How 2 improve access to homeownership for first-time buyers
- How 2 set up equity and non-equity loans
- How 2 increase housing delivery
- How 2 write a tenancy strategy
- How 2 prepare a neighbourhood plan
- How 2 deliver more social housing
- How 2 meet housing aspirations in your area.
We can provide a facilitator to cover any subject relevant to the housing sector. And, mindful of the costs, all of our How 2 Schools will be one-day events, and we’ll come to you. Each course can accommodate up to 12 people (dependent on your room size).
