Community and youth engagement
Engagement, participation, involvement, consultation: how can these become more than just concepts and achieve something practical for organisations, their users and potential users?
This course will help delegates embed positive engagement processes into their practice, improving service delivery and helping create a more positive perception from residents.

- Different approaches to consider when engaging young people, BME communities, older people, and developing inter-generational work
- How to enable people from local communities to lead on engagement
- How to action your engagement and manage the ongoing relationship
- How to evidence that your programme is successful.

All staff and others who have resident engagement/involvement as a responsibility and also those who have contact with residents and wish to improve their skills and practice.
Our trainers
Jonny Wineberg has worked at a management level in the public, private and voluntary sectors and has been a consultant for not-for-profit organisations for the last six years. He has 30 years’ experience as a participant, practitioner, trainer and lecturer in participation and engagement, and has helped many organisations embed positive engagement practices in their work.
His participative approach to training, combined with his range of knowledge, ensures that training is fun and effective for all delegates.
