Legionella Monitoring system (log book) audits

All organisations are required to have in place a system control scheme. The implementation of the system control scheme should be regularly and frequently monitored and everyone involved in any related operational procedure should be properly supervised. Staff responsibilities and lines of communication should be clearly defined and specifically documented.

We understand that a lot of organisations use a contractor to manage their legionella. This may require the contractor to include record keeping and audits or it may be carried out by you: but do you know what your responsibilities really are and what you are required to do? Get to grips with the requirements of the regulations and what you should be doing to comply with them by using a practical and easy-to-understand approach.

Delegates will learn:

  • An overview of legionella and the landlord’s responsibilities
  • Why they need to keep a record of their monitoring system (log book)
  • What should be contained in a legionella record and monitoring system
  • What should be checked, why, and how often.

Who should attend?

Health and safety managers, those delegated to be managerially responsible for the control of legionella, such as heads of maintenance, asset managers and housing managers, operatives, and those responsible for determining contractor competence and assessing risk.
