Denis Thompson, Associate

Denis Thompson is a former Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive of Anglia Housing Group, then Heart of England Housing Group, with over 20 years experience in the sector. His experience covers business and financial planning, negotiating housing and care transfers, loan agreements and building contracts, finance strategy and value for money.

For HQN he will be using his experience of developing and reviewing VfM strategies, addressing VfM gaps and shortfalls highlighted at inspection, providing financial guidance and business planning support, and designing and delivering housing finance training programmes.

For HQN, Denis has recently drafted and implemented a VfM strategy and action plan (including a complementary training programme), for a housing group in the north west, provided a critical external challenge to the VfM strategies, and designed VfM training programmes for some very diverse types of housing associations.
