Gill Stead has an extensive history of working in both the local authority and housing association sectors; she then worked initially for the Housing Corporation, and subsequently for the Audit Commission, becoming lead housing inspector for the North West. This was at a key time, managing the implementation of the ‘new approach’ to inspection, and helping to develop the approach to the inspection of efficiency, in response to the wider government agenda. Gill is based in Yorkshire and works full time for HQN. Gill has led and participated in numerous mock inspections for HQN.
