Staff conferences 2010... what to do this year?

How are you implementing and embedding equality and diversity in your organisation? We can help you with both

Our equality and diversity trainer Chris Root and her conference team are specialists in designing and leading in-house staff conference events.

The equality and diversity staff conference theme is:

  • Developing quality and diversity
  • Understanding team building
  • Raising awareness
  • Language, voice, pace and pauses
  • Confidence
  • Delivering a presentation
  • Leading through presentations and communication
  • Audience engagement
  • Active listening
  • Giving feedback

And, of course, having an enjoyable, interactive and outcome-focused event, with the tailoring you require so the conference fits your organisation's needs. Chris Root was the Equality and Diversity Manager at the Housing Corporation prior to becoming a consultant and trainer. She has worked in equality and diversity for over 20 years and has received three British Diversity Awards. Chris's knowledge and understanding of the equality and diversity issues housing organisations face and her ability to help people overcome them is first class. Her training skills are second to none.

"What a great way to learn about E&D - it was informative, made everyone think about the issues in a different way, and everyone had fun at the same time - FANTASTIC!" (Eileen Martin, Neighbourhood Director, Swale Housing Association)

"We would like to thank Chris and her team for a brilliant day. Staff felt it was one of our best staff days - they thoroughly enjoyed the E&D session. There was something there for everyone to be involved in, from physical activities to brain games. Chris's knowledge and experience of housing shone through and helped engage the audience and keep everyone interested. Her sense of humour and down-to-earth attitude made the event fun. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone who wants to raise awareness about E&D within their teams." (Michelle Badrick, Head of Corporate Services, Cottsway Housing)
