Steve Wood

Steve Wood is HQN’s Director of Finance Services. The former Director of Business Services of Northwards Housing, where he was responsible for finance, governance, health and safety, HR, ICT and business Improvement, he brings business planning, VfM, finance strategy, HRA and ALMO finance expertise to HQN.

Steve has worked as Finance Director for two housing associations over 13 years in South Yorkshire and Manchester. He has also been a member of the NHF Finance Committee and Audit Panel, and has chaired both the NHF Finance Group in the North West and the ALMO Heads of Finance (North) Group.

Steve started his career at KPMG and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He is a Governor of Northern College, the ministerial training college in Manchester and independent examiner for a number of charities.
